New details have emerged about what allegedly went down between Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. The pair have accused each other of domestic violence, and the drama got so toxic that it caused production to shut down on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5. However, there seem to be two competing stories about what actually happened. One story suggests that Taylor choked Dakota.
Taylor has a different version of events to her ex Dakota

There are two different stories floating around about what happened between Taylor and Dakota. Each story paints someone different as the aggressor. Let’s start with Dakota’s side.
According to TMZ’s sources, the troubled reality stars were at Dakota’s house about three weeks ago when they started fighting over the hookup with Shinia Powell that we heard about in Season 4 of SLOMW.
Allegedly, things turned physical, and the sources claim that Taylor choked Dakota and ripped his necklace off of him. Supposedly, this all happened while their son, Ever, was in the room with them. It sounds eerily similar to the 2023 incident that landed Taylor in jail.
The source went on to claim that Dakota called the cops on Taylor that night, but she convinced him to change his story. They made up, only for them to have another volatile fight the very next day. During that second blowup, Taylor allegedly scratched his neck and threw his phone into the wall.
TMZ’s sources noted that a friend of Dakota’s alerted police about a potential domestic violence situation after they saw marks on Dakota’s neck. The cops followed up on the tip and interviewed him. The investigation remains ongoing, as does the production pause on SLOMW Season 5.
Meanwhile, a separate source detailed Taylor’s side of the story, which is completely different from Dakota’s. In this alternate timeline, Dakota is the aggressor.
According to this source, the pair were arguing in the car when a drink got spilled. Dakota allegedly got mad and became physical with Taylor.
In this version of the story, Dakota supposedly called the police and tried to twist the story to paint Taylor as the aggressor. Additionally, Dakota reportedly called the Utah Division of Child and Family Services multiple times to report Taylor for child abuse.
While the police continue looking into these claims, Taylor and Dakota have both been ordered to undergo psychological evaluations. There’s no word on when SLOMW will resume production, but Taylor’s upcoming debut as The Bachelorette is still going on as planned.
The Bachelorette Season 22 premieres March 22 at 8/7c on ABC. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
