More troubling reports are coming to light about the abuse allegations swirling around The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Season 4 of the series just dropped, and filming started ahead of the third season reunion. Allegedly, the tumultuous dynamic between Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, wasn’t a secret.
Of course, SLOMW viewers have seen the toxic relationship between Dakota and Taylor play out across every season of the show. In fact, Taylor was arrested for alleged domestic abuse against Dakota in 2023. She pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

Meanwhile, the former couple is embroiled in a domestic violence investigation, with each party accusing the other of becoming physical. In addition, Dakota reportedly called the Utah Division of Child and Family Services, accusing Taylor of being physically abusive to their nearly two-year-old son. Taylor has reportedly denied these claims.
According to TMZ, insiders close to SLOMW alleged that, during the Season 3 reunion, Dakota claimed that Taylor was abusive. However, the accusations were cut from the show before it aired. In addition, a source close to production claimed that both Taylor and Dakota accused each other of becoming physical. Reportedly, the exchange was cut because it didn’t have any bearing on the season. However, executives from Hulu and Disney were allegedly present when Dakota accused Taylor.
Meanwhile, filming for Season 5 of SLOMW is paused amid these allegations. In addition, Taylor’s turn as The Bachelorette is set to premiere in a few days, no doubt giving the PR department the migraine of a lifetime. Only time will tell how SLOMW will move forward, and if Taylor and Dakota will be in the mix.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming on Hulu. The Bachelorette Season 22 premieres March 22 on ABC.
