Jessica Biel is standing by Justin Timberlake after his DWI arrest video went public, but that does not mean she is okay with the world commenting on one of the lowest nights of the singer’s life. After the Sag Harbor police body‑camera video from Timberlake’s 2024 DWI arrest went public on March 20, it took no time to circulate on social media. Ultimately, the video put the singer and his marriage back under a spotlight they had hoped was fading away.
Jessica Biel ‘unhappy’ but supporting Justin Timberlake after arrest video, claims source
A source exclusively told PEOPLE that Jessica Biel is “not happy about the renewed attention” on Justin Timberlake’s DWI arrest video, especially now that it has been almost two years since the incident and months after Timberlake’s plea deal.
The source said, “There’s a reason they pushed back on the footage being released,” explaining that Biel knew the video would mess everything up again. They added, “It obviously doesn’t portray him in the best light.”
Timberlake was arrested in June 2024 in Sag Harbor, New York, after an officer said he failed to stop at a sign and drifted in his lane while driving a BMW. He reportedly tried to block the body‑cam video in court, arguing the release would damage his reputation and bring harassment, but ultimately had to settle and allow a redacted version to go public.
Through all of it, Biel has been standing by Timberlake. The source told PEOPLE, “There have been some challenging moments lately, and she’s focused on moving forward,” adding, “She’s the happiest when she’s able to focus on family life, along with her work when she chooses to take on projects.”
The couple, married since 2012, is now working to put the incident behind them. As per the insider, Biel is “supportive of Justin, but she’s also not afraid to express when she’s disappointed in certain decisions. This was one of those moments.”
