There are many things that we can blame Andy Cohen for, but apparently, putting The Real Housewives of Miami on pause isn’t one of them.
While fans still try to make sense of the news that the show is on pause for a second time, Andy opened up with his own thoughts on the matter. It turns out, he’s trying to feel the rush like the rest of us. It wasn’t his decision to hit pause on the show.
Andy Cohen says Real Housewives of Miami being paused isn’t his choice

During the March 23 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy addressed the ongoing feedback about RHOM going back on pause. It sounds like his phone has been blowing up ever since the news broke.
“I get the credit, and I get the blame,” Andy groaned, before making it clear where he personally stood on the matter.
“This was not my decision,” he explained. “I’m an [executive producer] on these shows. If it was up to me, they’d be rolling all the time. I mean, it’s better for me.”
With that in mind, it sounds like Andy might be just as bummed about RHOM as the rest of us. He also hinted that low ratings might have played a part in the network’s decision. Previously, insiders close to the network said it was the lowest-watched of all of the Housewives cities. If true, that’s a shame.
Andy said, “Yes, it is paused, and frankly, I’m happy that people are so passionate about it, and I hope they tell their friends to watch. This is a ratings game, after all.”
Meanwhile, the newly unemployed Housewives are on social media spiraling. Lisa Hochstein jumped on Threads to remind people that it’s not “cancelled.” Several cast members have posted AI-generated farewell messages to fans. Then, Larsa Pippen tried to make a case for RHOM by taking a swipe at Dorit Kemsley, of all people.
Things are not okay in the world of RHOM, but Andy isn’t necessarily the one to blame.
The Real Housewives of Miami is streaming on Peacock.
