Dating on King Street has been akin to musical chairs on both Southern Charm and Southern Hospitality. Now, it looks like we’re getting some crossover. Charley Manley from Southern Charm is officially dating Justin Assad from Southern Hospitality. Out of the pan and into the fire, it would seem.
The romance rumors have been confirmed
Charley revealed her new relationship during the Southern Charm Season 11 reunion as she broke down the end of her relationship, or whatever-it-was, with Craig Conover. She didn’t initially give a name. She just said her new boyfriend is from Boston and works at a club.
It was Salley Carson who spilled, “He’s on Southern Hospitality.”
That’s when Charley confirmed who it was. “It’s Justin Assad, yeah.” She didn’t offer any additional details, but Andy Cohen quickly asked Craig if he knew Charley’s new beau.
“Yeah, I always say hi to him when he comes in the bar,” Craig responded vaguely. These two are obviously holding back, but Andy didn’t press, although Craig did seem sus about the timeline of Charley and Justin’s relationship.
According to Craig, Austen Kroll told him that Charley was already talking to someone else while they were still hanging out. However, Charley insisted that she wasn’t seeing anyone else during her time with Craig.
Honestly, Craig being too upset would be a bit of a pot calling the kettle black. He first started pursuing Charley in the midst of a weird love triangle with her friend Salley. But after Craig’s intense blow-up at Salley, Charley was done.
Craig, on the other hand, claims that Charley love-bombed him and insists she was talking to someone else (Justin likely) while they were still exploring their thing.
Now it’s official, Charley has moved on. However, time will tell if it’s a better choice. Justin has been quite clear on the recent season of Southern Hospitality that he doesn’t want a label and isn’t looking for anything serious. He was in a love triangle of his own, spending every night with Jordyn Smith while actively pursuing Mia Alario.
