It’s no secret that Kroy Biermann had a tumultuous marriage with his estranged wife and Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Kim Zolciak. In fact, both have been very vocal about what they had to endure during their union and subsequent messy divorce. However, Kroy recently called out his ex on her abusive behavior, and now he’s labeled himself a DA survivor on social media.
Kroy Biermann says he is a survivor of domestic abuse
Kroy and Kim’s see-saw divorce proceedings have been in the media too many times over the past several years. Both parties have lashed out at one another, and their problems have ranged from finances to custody battles to privacy issues.
However, Kroy made a bold public statement and shared that he felt he was trapped in an abusive relationship with Kim.
The former football player took to Instagram last October and posted a contemplative reel story. In the post, he shared his pain, isolation, and confusion. He accused his ex-wife of emotional and psychological abuse. He coined their time together “deliberately orchestrated chaos.”
Kroy posted this to commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month and ended it on a hopeful note of survival, urging others to know that no matter how bad things get, the story isn’t over.
Now, Kory has taken another step in sharing his story. He has added the label “DA Survivor” to his Instagram bio. It’s a very public statement, and it looks like he wants his fans and followers to know how he views himself as he moves forward.
Kim has denied his allegations, calling them hurtful. In the past, she has also accused him of mental and emotional abuse.
Right now, their divorce is still ongoing and their future is up in the air. The couple have filed for divorce several times since August 2023. So there’s no knowing if this one is going to stick.
