Stephen Colbert Mocks Pam Bondi Being Fired

Stephen Colbert recently mocked Pam Bondi after she was fired as the United States Attorney General by Donald Trump. The president announced on Truth Social on April 2 that Bondi will be moving to the private sector. He stated that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche will take over her position.

Stephen Colbert recently took a jibe at Pam Bondi after she was fired from her position as Attorney General by Donald Trump last week. On Thursday, Trump took to the Truth Social platform and announced, “Pam Bondi is a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend, who faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year.”

He continued, “Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country, with Murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900. We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future.”

Colbert addressed the news on his talk show and stated, “Speaking of human waste, just a few hours ago, we learned that President Trump fired Attorney General Pam Bondi.” Furthermore, Colbert pulled out a letter with all words blacked out to pay a tribute to Bondi. The only words visible on the letter were, “Dear Pam. Sincerely, Stephen Colbert.” He also reportedly conveyed that Trump had “some issues” with how Bondi “did her job.”

Previously, a source close to NBC News has also suggested that Trump was “more and more frustrated” with Bondi’s performance. Moreover, after being fired, Bondi took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her gratitude to Trump for the opportunity. She added, “Over the next month I will be working tirelessly to transition the office of Attorney General to the amazing Todd Blanche before moving to an important private sector role I am thrilled about, and where I will continue fighting for President Trump and this Administration.”
