The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars’ plan of being featured on other shows isn’t going too well. At first, Taylor Frankie Paul was supposed to be the next leading lady for The Bachelorette. But, days before Season 22’s premiere it was completely scrapped. The reason for the quick cancellation was the leaked video of a domestic incident between Taylor and her ex Dakota Mortensen.
Currently, they are both involved in an active domestic investigation. Since a ruiling hasn’t been made, SLOMW Season 5 has been put on pause and Taylor’s Bachelorette season is in the dust. And, she isn’t the only one getting screen time removed. Dakota was supposed to make an appearance in the upcoming season of Vanderpump Villa, but according to Lisa Vanderpump, that’s also not going to happen.
The SLOMW star will no longer appear on LVP’s show
Lisa recently confirmed that Dakota will no longer be featured in Season 3 of Vanderpump Villa amidst the investigation.
“We don’t want to shine a spotlight on something that’s been so controversial when we have so much great content. Our show’s ready to go. Obviously, we don’t want to do anything extraordinarily significant at this stage in the game, but it’s ready to go,” she told PEOPLE.
Dakota aside, the reality TV icon says that this season hopes to leave all negativity at the door. This would be a completely different vibe from the Marciano Brunette and Demi Engemann situation in Season 2 that resulted in a sexual misconduct lawsuit.
“We’ve got so much ‘feel good factor’ and so much story content anyway. The visuals are beautiful, the stories are complicated. There’s a lot of humor in it, there’s a lot of funny, sexy time and it’s a great show. It’s great entertainment.”
Vanderpump Villa premieres on Thursday, April 16, on Hulu and Disney+. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 4 is now streaming on Hulu.
