Netflix’s hit reality series, Love on the Spectrum, features people who are on the autism spectrum meeting and dating. Sadly, one breakout couple has ended their relationship. It seems that David Isaacman and Abbey Romeo won’t be tying the knot at the San Diego Safari Park.
In Love on the Spectrum, cameras follow couples as they navigate their new emotional bonds. The show is beloved by fans, who embrace the show’s heartwarming vibe. And Abbey and David, who met during Season 1, were the show’s longest-running romance. The couple went to a wildlife park for their first date and just clicked.
The Netflix reality stars have broken up after five years together
Abbey even wrote and sang a song for David during Season 3. The song, titled Boyfriend Forever, was sweet, endearing, and romantic. It is sad to think that Davis is no longer the milk to Abbey’s Chardonnay.
“Sadly, it’s true that David and Abbey broke up,” an insider told The U.S. Sun. “They couldn’t come to an agreement on when to get married. She was ready years ago.” The source added, “He still needed time.”
Meanwhile, an insider close to David also shared an update. “They did break up, but he is doing very well,” the source said. Fans were shocked, as it seemed like this five-year relationship was headed towards matrimony. Abbey began discussing her hopes of marrying David during Season 2.
Plus, the couple popped up briefly during Season 4 of Love on the Spectrum, and Abbey also mentioned marriage. In one scene from the show, she asked her mother, “What if he gives me a wedding ring?” In addition, after Tyler White and Madison Marilla took the next step and got engaged, Abbey admitted that she wanted to be next. Naturally, some fans are hoping that these fan-favorites will reconcile in the future.
Love on the Spectrum is available to stream on Netflix.
