Lindsay Hubbard Talks ‘Intimidating’ Summer House and Cast ‘Trust’ Now That She’s a Mom

Lindsay Hubbard is reflecting on her time on Summer House. The new mom played a different role in Season 10 than she did in previous years. Instead of being at the center of drama, she served as a support system for the women in the house, offering advice and guiding them through difficult moments. In a recent interview, Lindsay spoke about her experience filming Season 10, sharing that she enjoyed her new role on the show.

Here’s the scoop.

The Summer House star says she has “a new lens” as a mother

In an April interview with Us Weekly, Lindsay spoke about returning to the Summer House after becoming a mom.

“Here’s the thing, I was, like, six [or] seven months after giving birth. It’s always an adjustment in your first year of becoming a parent, and especially as a mom,” she told the outlet. “On the weekend I didn’t have Gemma, I [could] either sit at home and be depressed that I’m not with my baby, bored and twiddling my thumbs, or I [could] go distract myself and be with my friends in The Hamptons.”

In previous years, Lindsay spent every weekend in the hamptons, but this year, she split her time between the Summer House and the city. She spoke to Us Weekly about her part-time role on the show.

“I missed being in the know, but everyone always caught me up when I saw them,” she said. “It’s kind of fun to do that anyway — being in the position of playing catch up to what I missed.”

Lindsay said she went into Season 10 wanting to serve as a support system for the cast.

“It’s intimidating. It’s a lot. We’re all very comfortable around each other,” she said. “Especially for any new girl, they need support. I really tried to give the girls as much support as possible.”

The Bravo star told the outlet that she believes the cast trusts her more now that she’s a mom.

“My experience as a mom, I think, has given me a better lens on how to properly help my castmates. They need it,” she said.

Lindsay will enter a new chapter this spring with the release of In the City. The Summer House spinoff stars Lindsay, Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, and Danielle Olivera, among new cast members.

Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
