Welcome back to your Ladies of London: The New Reign recap!

In last week’s episode, there were celebrations and confrontations aplenty. As well as learning more about Martha’s life since her high-profile divorce, viewers tagged along to Myka’s polo-themed birthday party. And, speaking of Myka’s party, it was the scene of yet more drama between Kimi, Mark-Francis, and Margo. So, what happened next? Here’s everything that went down in Ladies of London Season 4 Episode 8, “Bad Manors.”

What happened in Ladies of London Season 4 Episode 8?

On Emma’s invitation, the cast headed to Longleat, an English estate home in Wiltshire, which also features a … safari park! With tension still in the air between Kimi, Margo, and Mark-Francis – and that tension having a pretty big impact on the rest of the cast – it was only a matter of time before things got wild. Pun intended.

A culture clash?

On the way to Longleat, the cast discussed the ongoing drama between Kimi, Margo, and Mark-Francis. A particular topic of conversation was Margo’s claim that she is being bullied, which Mark-Francis – along with Lottie, Kimi, and Myka, who were riding in his van – put down to a culture clash and a misunderstanding of British humor.

“I think it all comes down to Margo not understanding Mark-Francis’ humor,” Lottie explained, adding that Margo incorrectly thinks he is a “nasty person.” To that, American Myka added it also took her a “few years” to get British sarcasm when she first moved.

“It doesn’t bother me because, if you’re smart, you get it, you move with it,” Mark-Francis replied. “If somebody insults you, and you laugh at it, they won’t insult you again,” added Kimi, with the former Made in Chelsea star responding: “Exactly, you come back with something smarter, wittier.”

“They have bullied me, and they have put me in a corner,” an adamant Margo said in the other van. In response, Martha offered her advice on how the situation could be “escalated” or “de-escalated” … and she said that all depends on how Margo reacts to Mark-Francis going forward.

Margo against the world

As the group settled into their Longleat accommodation (see: a row of super cute cottages), Lottie and Myka gave Margo a debrief about the car ride there. Explaining how she thought Margo’s beef with Mark-Francis is actually a misunderstanding of his personality, Lottie said: “Everyone needs to not take things so seriously and have a sense of humor.”

“The things that you’ve been upset about, he hasn’t meant to be that deep,” the expectant mother went on. “But that’s kind of a cop out,” Margo said in disagreement. The pair then clashed over how to move forward with the situation, with Lottie even suggesting that Margo “likes all this drama.”

“I don’t understand her motives at this point,” she added.

“I don’t think Lottie’s gone to the dark side, but it does make it murky,” Margo replied in a confessional. Also speaking in a confessional, Myka offered her two cents. “I think Margo sees people loving Mark-Francis, and it’s hard for her,” she said, again bringing up how her American friend has so far struggled to understand Mark-Francis’ personality. “If Margo could only understand British humor, none of this would have happened,” she continued.

“Of course I understand the British humor, I became an adult in the UK,” Margo replied in a confessional. “But I’m actually funny, I’m not just mean.”

Margo ended the chat by telling the ladies, “nobody is on my side.”

“I’m not asking you to take sides, but just know, that’s how it feels,” she went on, breaking down in tears. “I am alone.”

Time for tea, literally

Over tea (and Champagne) in the luscious, green landscapes of Longleat, talk again turned to the drama between Margo and Mark-Francis. Lottie told Missè about the conversation she’d just had about it, and said it was “offensive” that Margo felt alone. “If she’s alone, then what am I, spent milk?” she joked.

After that, Margo made a major faux pas – helping herself to the spread of food before it had been served. “This is not good manners,” Myka pointed out, as Emma looked on in shock. “I might not say it, but you’ll know what I’m thinking,” she added in a confessional, describing the move as “problematic.”

All eyes on Emma

Last week, viewers got a deeper insight into cast member Martha’s life, and this week, the spotlight was on Emma. As well as learning all about her efforts at Longleat, which include conservation work and event planning, viewers got a glimpse at the Marchioness of Bath’s 2013 wedding … which Kimi and Mark-Francis fondly reminisced on.

Back in the Orangerie, the ladies gushed over Emma and her work. “I think she’s an amazing role model for all women and girls,” said Lottie, with Kimi chiming in: “You’re doing an amazing job.”

“You live, and you learn,” Emma said in response, elaborating on her approach to life. “Every single thing I do, even this tea, I will try and do it better next time.”

“There is no handbook that gets handed to you when you get engaged and married to someone in the aristocracy,” she then explained in a confessional. “It’s a lot of pressure, because there’s an expectation,” she went on. “You have to have your wits about you, that’s for sure.”

Margo and Mark-Francis clashed … again

Despite a debrief with Lottie and Missè on how to treat Margo going forward (namely, not to make sarcastic comments about her clothes), Mark-Francis couldn’t help but comment on her VPL. That’s a visible panty line, for those who don’t know. And of course, it wasn’t long before that remark made its way back to Margo.

Pointing out the hypocrisy of Mark-Francis’ comment – while still not getting the sarcasm of it – Margo got fired up about the “f*cking very annoying” situation. “I’m not defending anything he’s said that’s made you upset. But I do think you should tell him,” Emma then told Margo, trying to diffuse the situation.

As the episode came to its final moments, Martha encouraged Mark-Francis to “make peace” with his nemesis, Margo. Hesitant to do so, he replied: “I’m not moving. She’ll get over it. And, if she doesn’t, I don’t care. Not my problem.”

“Come here, Mark, just come here,” Margo shouted over. “What are you scared of?”

“This is so vulgar, I might have to leave,” he responded. Next, Mark-Francis rose from his seat, air-kissed the ladies goodbye, and made a swift exit. This prompted Kimi to confront Margo. She accused her of “screaming” at Mark-Francis and forcing him out of the party. “That’s really b*tchy,” she said. “F*ck off, Margo,” Kimi added as she, too, stormed off.
