Real Housewives of Orange County alum Kelly Dodd’s family is moving away from her legal chaos. Kelly is facing three misdemeanor charges, including a revenge porn case. These charges could mean jail time for the former reality star.
Sometimes, families pull together during difficult times. However, it seems that there was already a rift in Kelly’s family before the charges were filed.
The RHOC alum is facing revenge porn charges
According to court documents, a Jane Doe accuser claimed that Kelly “unlawfully and intentionally” distributed images of the victim engaged in sexual contact around August 29, 2025. After agreeing not to share the images, Kelly allegedly “contacted the person and threatened to injure her, her property, and her family.”
In addition, the former Bravolebrity is facing a June 2025 battery charge involving a separate person. An insider told US Weekly that Kelly’s family has “cut her off. This has been a nightmare for her mother [Bobbi Meza].” As you may recall, Bobbi appeared on RHOC when she and Kelly’s brother temporarily bunked at her house.
Reportedly, Kelly’s family will not have contact with her unless she seeks professional help. The source added that the only extended family member still in contact with Kelly was her father, Frank Meza. Meanwhile, the insider shared that the family was reportedly concerned that Kelly wasn’t taking her pending legal cases seriously. “[Kelly] self-sabotages,” the source added.
Well, judging from Kelly’s recent remarks about the revenge porn case, her family may have a point. Kelly and her husband, Rick Leventhal, shared their thoughts in the Instagram video. “It’s hilarious to me, by the way,” Kelly stated, while Rick confirmed that she will go to court.
As the duo enjoyed some tequila, Kelly pointed the finger at her family. “I know it’s somebody in my family that is putting this stuff out there. And you know who it is,” she stated.
