Prince Harry is said to be grappling with an unexpected setback ahead of his upcoming appearance in Australia, after ticket prices for one of his scheduled speaking engagements were significantly reduced. The Duke of Sussex is due to speak at the InterEdge Summit in Melbourne during a four-day visit alongside Meghan Markle. The event, focused on workplace mental health, was initially positioned as a high-profile appearance, but recent pricing changes have drawn attention to it.

Prince Harry ‘utterly mortified’ by slashing of ticket prices for InterEdge Summit in Melbourne

According to a source familiar with the situation, “This ‘Half Price Harry’ situation, as it’s being dubbed, is a brutal humiliation for Harry.” They added, “His ticket price has effectively been slashed in half, and it is not a great look.” The person said that Harry is embarrassed and “utterly mortified” because it adds to the idea that people are not as interested in him as they once were.

The RadarOnline source added that the situation has sparked concern within the royal couple’s camp, particularly as they work to rebuild their global presence following their departure from royal duties in 2020. “Harry and Meghan were expecting much stronger interest in their events,” the insider said. “The reality is that the crowds are not materializing in the same way as they used to for them, and having to cut prices so dramatically sends a message that is hard to ignore.”

The situation stands in contrast to Harry’s earlier public engagements, which once drew significant attention and strong turnout. Harry and Meghan’s trip to Australia includes a mix of charitable and commercial engagements across Melbourne and Sydney.

Meanwhile, Markle’s separate event, a three-day retreat titled “Her Best Life,” is scheduled to take place at the InterContinental Coogee Beach hotel from April 17 to 19. The retreat offers curated experiences and small-group interactions as a part of a larger promotion for her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
