The cries for Shia LaBeouf to get undergo serious treatment appear to be getting louder. The latest to speak out against the troubled actor is Bryan Cranston. The star of Breaking Bad urged Shia to “get some help.”
Shia has made his share of headlines for the wrong reasons since relocating to New Orleans. The actor has been arrested a couple of times this year. The first time was for allegedly initiating a brawl during Mardi Gras celebrations. He has a history of anger issues and has been in trouble plenty of times for substance abuse.
The Breaking Bad star sat down with Frankie Muniz for an interview
What ifs are something many actors live with when forced to choose between a couple of roles. Frankie Muniz discussed how he turned down a part in Holes to star in Agent Cody Banks. He admitted to Bryan that he wonders where his career might have gone had he chosen Holes. His role in the film wound up going to Shia.
For Bryan, Frankie shouldn’t have regrets about turning down that role. “You could have ended up with Shia LaBeouf’s life,” said Bryan. Frankie admitted to his Malcolm in the Middle colleague that he wondered if he had gone with Holes, would he be “taken more seriously as an actor?” Frankie admits that people were pushing him to choose Holes over Agent Cody Banks.
Bryan is far from the first person to call on Shia to get help. Last month, one of his friends said that “he needs serious therapy.” Shia’s estranged wife, Mia Goth, has also called for him to go to rehab and deal with his issues.
During Shia’s first arrest in the Big Easy, he allegedly uttered homophobic slurs. He was arrested in late February for a second time after another warrant was issued following another battery complaint stemming from his original altercation. A judge ordered him to undergo substance abuse treatment and submit to weekly drug screenings.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK FRANKIE MUNIZ WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER FIT IN HOLES THAN SHIA LABEOUF?
