Marvel Actor Oscar Isaac Wants To See Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider

Oscar Isaac has sparked fresh buzz in the Marvel world after sharing his thoughts on a possible new project and a fan-favorite casting choice.

While talk around Marvel’s darker team-ups has been floating for a while, Isaac’s latest comments have added fuel to the conversation, especially when he brought Ryan Gosling into the mix.

During a recent podcast appearance, Isaac confirmed that Marvel Studios has at least discussed a project centered on the supernatural team often referred to as Midnight Sons. He made it clear that the idea is still in early stages, but the tone would be serious and grounded despite the fantasy elements. The actor said the concept deals with “real stuff” and needs to be handled carefully to land right. “It’s expressing something very real and challenging, difficult. So…you really gotta take it seriously,” Isaac added.

When asked about casting, Isaac didn’t hesitate. Talking about Ryan Gosling potentially stepping in as Ghost Rider, he gave a straightforward response: “Make it happen… It’s a no-brainer.” The idea isn’t random either. Gosling has previously shown interest in playing the fiery antihero, which has only made fans push harder for it online.

The potential lineup for this darker Marvel corner could include familiar names. Characters like Blade, expected to be played by Mahershala Ali, are often linked to the team. Classic comic versions also feature figures like Doctor Strange and Morbius, though it’s unclear how closely Marvel would follow that roster(via The Playlist)

Interestingly, Isaac’s own character, Moon Knight, wasn’t originally part of the classic team, but could be added in a modern version. Other supernatural characters introduced in recent projects, like Jack Russell and Elsa Bloodstone, might also fit into this darker lineup if the project moves forward.

For now, nothing is officially confirmed. But with Isaac backing the idea and fans already on board, the combination of Gosling and Ghost Rider is quickly becoming one of Marvel’s most talked-about possibilities.
