Worshipping Donald Trump saved Todd Chrisley from completing his prison sentence, but no amount of MAGA merch will save him from this defamation lawsuit.
The Chrisley Knows Best alum is on the hook for a six-figure judgment after a former government worker accused him of attacking her online. She won a defamation lawsuit back in 2024, but she hasn’t received a penny of what she’s owed. Now, she’s taking steps to make sure she’s paid, and she’s asking the courts for help.
Amy Doherty-Heinze was awarded $755,000 from Todd Chrisley
Amy Doherty-Heinze is a former tax official for the Georgia Department of Revenue. Of course, Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were thrown in prison for tax evasion, along with several other financial crimes. The Department of Revenue is basically an enemy to their household.
In 2020, when Todd and Julie were under federal investigation, he made false accusations about Amy and her coworkers. He suggested that the employees were the ones committing crimes. For example, Todd went on his podcast and accused Amy of “illegally accessing” a government program to pull information on his family, in addition to other falsehoods.
Amy sued him for defamation and won the lawsuit in 2024. Todd was still in prison at the time, but the judge awarded Amy $750,000. Unfortunately for her, that money still hasn’t come.
According to new court documents reviewed by TMZ, Amy is now taking the steps to get that cash. She filed new paperwork in Tennessee, where she believes the Chrisleys have relocated, and she’s asking the court for help collecting the debt.
It could be a long process, but Amy is determined to get what she is owed. Todd had better get that pocketbook ready.
