Real Housewives of Rhode Island cast member Alicia Carmody has been engaged for nearly 10 years. In the show’s premiere, Alicia shared that she and her fiancé Billy Kitsilis got engaged when she was pregnant with their daughter. That baby is nearly nine years old now.
Additionally, in episode 4 we learned that Alicia objected to the prenup Billy, an attorney, wanted her to sign. After her attorney looked at it, he told her that Billy wasn’t “even leaving [her] with a penny, nothing.” So she refused to sign it.

“He came from nothing,” she said of her fiancé on Bravo’s RHORI After Show. “He’s worked so hard. He owns a lot of businesses — more than 10 — that he started with his family. And some stuff I don’t even know, you know?”
“But he’s quiet, and I love that about him,” she added. “He’s not flashy … He is so protective, and I respect that.”
Considering everything they’ve been through, she’s changed her mind about signing a prenup. “I don’t want to take away from what you did in the past,” she said. “I don’t want your businesses with your family and your friends and everything. But, like, I just want something.”
Furthermore, Alicia claimed that Billy refused to put her name on the deed for their family home. “So, I feel like I live rent-free,” she explained. So does her massive doll collection.
“But you literally are a mother, and you’re a wife,” co-star Jo-Ellen Tiberi added.
“I know,” Alicia agreed, “but deep down inside, I’m like, ‘OK, like, you’re not working. But he didn’t really want you to work, Alicia’ … It kind of made me feel like, you don’t trust me — and I don’t even spend his money.”
“I feel like people that know me and love me know that the reason they love me … is because they trust me,” she continued. “[But] the person I shared a daughter with didn’t trust me. So, I felt slighted by that. And that caused a setback in our marriage. It’s made me feel like I’m not worthy enough.”
