According to recent reports, Angelina Jolie is not bothered by Brad Pitt’s complaints regarding their French winery mansion, Chateau Miraval. The said property became the center of the former pair’s conflicts after their public split in 2016. Jolie sold her stake in the Chateau in 2021, which prompted a lawsuit from her ex-husband.
Angelina Jolie unfazed by Brad Pitt’s complaints, sources suggest
The Maleficent star is reportedly unfazed by her former spouse’s complaints regarding the Chateau Miraval mansion in Correns, France.
TMZ recently reported that Brad Pitt has been complaining constantly about not being able to spend some quality time at the winery. While he is eager to have a trial in April 2027, Angelina Jolie is seemingly in no rush to proceed. After she sold her part of the winery in 2021 for around $67 million, he filed a lawsuit in 2022.
In the lawsuit, the F1 actor alleged that the sale should be overturned as Jolie did not consult him for approval. He also asserted that he is having a hard time dealing with the buyers. On the other hand, Jolie said she didn’t need to speak with Pitt to sell her share of the winery.
In the documents obtained by the outlet, Pitt alleged that he hasn’t been able to enjoy “the quiet enjoyment of his home in France.” He also urged the trial to take place as soon as possible because the witnesses are growing older. Moreover, the 62-year-old claimed that one of the witnesses has also passed away.
In her reply to Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie has stated that the trial should be extended to September 2027. This is because her ex-partner, in her view, has not been able to submit any evidence regarding the disturbances he claims he is facing at the property from the new owners. Previously, Pitt’s lawyers have also accused the Eternals actress and her lawyers of delaying the trial.
Meanwhile, a judge has yet to give a final decision regarding the trial date.
