Trigger Warning: This article contains a discussion of domestic violence allegations.
UPDATE: TMZ is now reporting TFP WILL film with the rest of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast. Original report follows.
Since Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives dropped, the drama has been non-stop for the cast. Jessi Draper’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, filed for divorce. Then Jessi stirred up drama by kissing the ex-husband of MomTok star Miranda McWhorter.
However, Taylor Frankie Paul has been living in the headlines. She was involved in a 2026 open domestic violence investigation, along with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortsensen. This drama led to filming for Season 5 of SLOMW being paused. Fans feared that the future of the series could be in jeopardy.
Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen will be absent from SLOMW production
Meanwhile, amid the filming pause, a source claimed that MomTok had grave concerns about Taylor and Dakota’s alleged behavior. “They kind of all decided, as a unit, that they’re taking the production pause, that they don’t want to film right now,” the insider stated.
Meanwhile, Dakota claimed that Taylor was involved in a 2024 domestic violence incident. In the end, the Salt Lake City District Attorney’s Office decided not to file criminal charges against Taylor in the two investigations.
However, Taylor is still on probation. She pleaded guilty in abeyance to a charge of aggravated assault stemming from a 2023 altercation with Dakota. Once the footage of the 2023 incident leaked, Taylor’s Bachelorette season was canceled.
Now, there is some positive news for SLOMW fans. These influencers will be back on our screens. PEOPLE exclusively reported that Season 5 will resume production without Dakota and Taylor.
However, Jay’s Reality Blog shared a post of Taylor responding to a report that she wouldn’t be filming for SLOMW. “Not what I was told,” she commented with eyeball emojis. In addition, production sources told TMZ that Taylor will reportedly return to filming, but right now, her priority is her family and children. And the crew, and cast, are allegedly fine with Taylor’s comeback. Meanwhile, cameras could start filming as soon as this week.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming on Hulu.
