The new poster for Scary Movie 6 appears to reference past allegations involving pop icon Michael Jackson with a pointed punchline. The poster also seems to mimic the promotional material for the upcoming biopic Michael. It stars his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, in the lead role.
Scary Movie poster mocks Michael Jackson
The new poster for Scary Movie 6 features a Ghostface-style character dressed in attire associated with Michael Jackson. Thus, referencing both the promotional material for Antoine Fuqua’s Michael and widely reported allegations connected to the late musician.
In the poster, the franchise’s Ghostface-inspired character wears clothing similar to what Jaafar Jackson is seen wearing in the Michael posters. The poster includes two taglines. One of those appears to reference the allegations that have been widely discussed over the years.
The first tagline reads, “Prepare to Hee-Hee.” The second states, “Touching Fans Everywhere,” which appears to allude to the allegations.
The biopic is set to premiere in theaters on April 24, 2025. It is not expected to focus on the allegations. This is because the director “is not convinced that Jackson did what he is accused of doing, despite the number of accusers (five) and the fact that Jackson publicly talked about sharing his bed with boys.” (via The New Yorker).
Scary Movie 6 will serve as a sequel to 2013’s Scary Movie 5. The horror parody will bring back many old faces of the franchise. Some famous ones are Marlon Wayans as Shorty Meeks, Shawn Wayans as Ray Wilkins, and Anna Faris as Cindy Campbell. It will also have Regina Hall as Brenda Meeks, alongside Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Jon Abrahams, and Anthony Anderson.
The synopsis for the film reads, “Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer, Shorty, Ray, Cindy, and Brenda find themselves targeted by another mad slasher.”
Scary Movie 6 premieres on June 5, 2026.
