Netflix’s America’s Next Top Model unearthed a whole bunch of revelations about the competition series, its creators, and the host—all of whom failed to take any responsibility for the trauma they inflicted on their cast. Now, the Real Housewives franchise could be next.
The word on the street is that the production company behind Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model is eyeing the 20-year-old Bravo franchise as their next subject. If true, Andy Cohen could be getting the Tyra Banks treatment.

Radar Online got the scoop on the potential next chapter of the Reality Check docuseries. Producers are still in very early talks, so don’t expect to see this on Netflix anytime soon. Still, it sounds like they’re pretty serious about making it happen.
“This is about pulling back the curtain,” an insider explained. “And Housewives has the most to reveal.”
Another source said that they see Housewives as the “next logical step” in their effort to expose the truth behind reality TV. Given how much jaw-dropping insight we got from the ANTM docuseries, that’s no small statement, and the rumblings arrive right as the franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary. What better way to mark the milestone than to unearth two decades’ worth of tea?
In the past, unauthorized tell-alls about the Housewives haven’t had the best track record. One journalist wrote an unauthorized book a few years ago, only to wind up being eclipsed by an alternate, Andy-endorsed book, Not All Diamonds and Rosé.
Similarly, VICE TV’s Dark Side of Reality TV dedicated an episode to the Housewives. In it, Vicki Gunvalson appeared, claiming she would never forgive Bravo for the coverage of her mom’s death. Today, they are back in her good graces and filming for Season 20 of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
These previous projects barely scratched the surface, and that’s exactly what the Reality Check team is banking on here. They know there’s an untapped well full of secrets, and Bravo fans have an insatiable appetite for it. Stay tuned to see if they can make this happen.
“There’s a goldmine of drama that never made it to air,” the insider added. “Viewers haven’t seen anything yet.”
