DWTS Pro Dancer Breaks Elbow; Forced To Exit Tour

The Dancing with the Stars Live! tour continues, minus one dancer. Unfortunately, this demanding show has lost a pro due to an injury. And with DWTS Season 35 set to launch in the fall, hopefully, this showman will have enough time to heal.

Earlier this year, Val Chmerkovskiy was hospitalized while on tour and missed a performance. His diagnosis? Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), which is a type of vertigo. So I got BPPV, which isn’t too bad, thank God,” Val explained via social media. “There’s no tumor in my brain, God forbid.” However, while Val could return, this DWTS pro wasn’t as lucky.

Brandon Armstrong shared the news of his injury via TikTok. “No easy way to say this and, honestly, I’m super bummed, but you can tell I’m hurt. I’ve been dealing with a little problem in my elbow for a while, and then a few shows ago, I was doing a little thing, and it just went south,” Brandon explained. “Long story short, I have a broken elbow. I broke a bone in my elbow.”

He added that the tour doctors advised him to exit the tour and “see what the next steps are so I can get healthy again.” Brandon continued, “I remember when I was first on the show, I didn’t get the opportunity to go on tour. And I saw my friends going out and performing live, but really getting to meet you guys every night, and I wanted that so bad.”

The DWTS pro added, “The good news is me going home a little bit early is going to allow me to get healthy sooner.” The comments on Brandon’s post lit up with positive messages and some jokes. Meanwhile, DWTS pro Alan Bersten posted, “Love you so much bro. Recover fast. We will see you soon.” Hopefully, Brandon has a speedy recovery.

During DWTS Season 34, Brandon danced with singer Lauren Jauregui. They were eliminated early in the competition, which was a shock.

Dancing with the Stars is available to stream on Disney+.
