Jimmy Kimmel isn’t backing off from the President and First Lady. The comedian continued to fire shots at Donald Trump and his wife, Melania,on his late-night program Wednesday. The pair welcomed King Charles and Queen Camilla to the US this week.
The photo op between the four caught Jimmy’s attention, who took aim at the POTUS and Melania in his opening monologue yesterday.
Jimmy shows no mercy on the Trumps during a photo op
It’s full speed ahead for Jimmy in his mockery of the President and Melania. On Wednesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he fired more shots at the couple following an awkward photo session featuring the pair and the royal couple. Melania was wearing white gloves at the time as she and the POTUS were trying to hold hands. They eventually let go and awkwardly stood side by side while the camera clicked. Jimmy joked that it was a “completely normal way to interact for two people who are very much in love.”
All week, Jimmy has been taking shots at the couple in a vicious back-and-forth war of words between those three. Last week, Jimmy did a mock address of the White House Correspondents Dinner, saying Melania has the “glow of an expectant widow.” The First Lady fired back at him for those remarks, calling him a coward. Her husband, meanwhile, pleaded with ABC to fire him.
Jimmy’s expectant widow remark came ahead of a shooting which occurred in the US capital during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The POTUS, First Lady and those at the event were forced to evacuate. The gala will reportedly be rescheduled at a later date.
For a long time, Jimmy has been on the President’s radar, with the latter praising ABC’s decision to suspend him in September.
