Donald Trump has reignited the buzz around UFOs and aliens with a new update. In a recent White House event, the US President declared that the Pentagon will release files related to extraterrestrial encounters in the near future.

During a Wednesday White House event honoring NASA astronauts, Donald Trump teased a major reveal about extraterrestrial matters. The president announced that the Pentagon is gearing up to release UFO files that have been uncovered under his administration (via Reuters).

“We’re going to be releasing a lot of things that we haven’t,” the 79-year-old stated, adding, “I think some of it’s going to be very interesting to people.”

Trump had previously fueled renewed interest in UFO-related matters in February as he instructed federal agencies to release records of extraterrestrial encounters publicly.

Furthermore, he has leaned into portraying himself as a president willing to reveal secrets, saying, “the American people deserve transparency and truth.” During his first week, Trump had directed the release of files related to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr.

Similarly, in his February directive, Trump turned attention to UFOs and alien encounters, suggesting that he will help answer pressing questions regarding the extraterrestrial. At the time, he called for transparency around “alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs).”

Furthermore, during a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix in April, Trump declared, “The first releases will begin very, very soon.” He added, “So you can go out and see if that phenomenon is correct. You’ll figure it out.”

However, amid the renewed buzz, experts have warned the public not to get ahead of facts. Former career intelligence officer and physicist Sean Kirkpatrick had previously said, “Readers should not get their hopes up that there’s going to be some document with photos, interviewing the aliens when they came down. Because that just doesn’t exist.”
