Following taping of the Summer House Season 10 reunion, KJ Dillard made a May 5 appearance on Watch What Happens Live. Host Andy Cohen asked where he stands with his buddy West Wilson since the April 23 reunion.
After admitting that West texted him since then, KJ said he hadn’t read it yet. He confessed he was “a bit scared to look at it.” After reading it to himself first, the Summer House newbie agreed to read the text out loud.
KJ reflects on his friendship with West after the Summer House
“I wanted to thank you for your articulation and kindness yesterday, despite being hurt,” West wrote. “I’m incredibly sorry. Also sending you love in regards to your mental health. You shared a lot yesterday, and I know it might carry much weight now. But I’m always rooting for the best for you. I know it will take some time, but whenever you feel like you’re ready, lunch or a phone call would mean a lot in the spirit of healing. No need to respond. Take your time.”
After reading the message on air, KJ understandably was a little emotional. “Oh, that hurts,” he admitted. “It just hurts because me and him were so close.”
KJ’s still dealing with the aftermath of West’s having an affair with their married Summer House castmate, Amanda Batula. In the midst of it all, he opened up about his friendship with West’s ex-girlfriend Ciara Miller. Andy asked how it felt “coming into the house as West’s friend, but leaving as Ciara’s brother.”
“Ciara’s literally my sister, so I ride or die for her,” he replied.
Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the next day.
