Logan Paul drops a plea to Donald Trump amid assassination attempts
Logan Paul recently appeared on his Impaulsive podcast and urged Donald Trump to ensure his safety following the WHCD shooting.
During the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, gunshots were heard while Trump and other attendees were inside the Washington Hilton hotel. Soon after, members of the Secret Service evacuated the premises and escorted everyone out for safety. Although no one was injured, a Secret Service member sustained minor injuries after being shot.
In the episode, Paul thanked Trump for viewing his podcast and stated, “Please, for the love of God, lock down your environments better. Your Secret Service team is doing a great job, and they got you out of there safely, and they got you out of the shooting where you got shot in the ear safely. But how are these people getting the opportunity to even put you in a position of danger?”
Paul also referred to the manifesto that the suspect, identified as Cole Tomas Allen, had allegedly written. He added, “The guy made a manifesto. And he wrote the manifesto. I read the shooter’s manifesto. He wrote it, and then before he did the shooting, he added to it, and he went out of his way to add something along the lines of ‘I can’t believe how easy this is.'”
As per Time Magazine, after the incident, Trump spoke about the manifesto and said, “The guy is a sick guy, when you read his manifesto. He hates Christians, that’s one thing for sure… and I think his sister or his brother actually was complaining about it. They were even complaining to law enforcement. He was a very troubled guy.”
