How Prince William Reportedly ‘Terrifies’ King Charles With ‘Tantrums’ — Report

As head of the British monarchy, you’d think that no one dares get on the wrong side of King Charles. But it seems his son, Prince William, isn’t afraid of his father. In fact, a new book has gone so far as to allege that William actually “terrifies” Charles with his “tantrums.”

According to royal author Christopher Andersen, who spoke to Page Six ahead of his new book launch, the Prince of Wales has a temper … but only Charles ever has to deal with it.

In his interview, Christopher accused William of having “great bellowing tantrums” and raising his voice with his father. That said, he caveated that the royal never does so with his wife and children, and is always “kind and considerate to a fault” with staff and members of the public.

“When he gets frustrated, he does resort to shouting [at Charles],” said a former royal staff member who provided insight for Christopher’s book, titled: Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will be Queen.

“William has a huge, booming voice,” the former staffer, who worked at Highgrove, continued. “Much louder than his father’s, so it’s not something you soon forget.”

Although Christopher suggested that Charles is “terrified” of William when he’s in these alleged moods, the author accused the monarch himself of being quite feisty. “[He] has a Vesuvius temper,” the biographer said of Charles.

Previously writing about exactly that, Christopher described an alleged incident in his 2022 biography of the king. Per the author, Charles once tore a “sink off the wall” in frustration after losing a cufflink down the drain.
