Eric Kripke, the creator of Prime Video’s “The Boys“, recently shared his reaction to the US President Donald Trump’s gold statue reveal from last week. The incident marks yet another coincidence between the show and real-life events, catching everyone off guard.

Amazon Prime Video’s “The Boys” is currently in the midst of its final season. While it has brought tons of entertainment for the fans, it has also, in a weird and unexpected way, foreshadowed real-life events.
On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, a 22-foot gold statue of Donald Trump was unveiled at the president’s golf course, Trump National Doral Miami.
Coincidentally, it is also the same day that The Boys Episode 6, titled “Though the Heavens Fall,” aired on the streaming platform. In that episode, a scene reveals a gold statue of the antagonist Homelander inside his “Democratic Church of America.” It is part of the current storyline, in which Homelander believes himself to be a god.
Since then, fans have taken to social media to discuss the bizarre possibility of both events happening on the same day. Even Eric Kripke, the show creator, has responded with disbelief. He took to his Instagram, where he posted a collage of Trump and Homelander’s gold statue. The on-screen text read, “Seriously, what the f***?”
His post drew more attention to the matter, garnering hilarious responses online. One user wrote, “At this point, Trump is parodying The Boys.” Meanwhile, a second user commented, “Someone had to have leaked our scripts to them.” Another user pointed out, “It’s not even satire anymore. The Boys are dropping harder predictions than The Simpsons.”
This is just a few weeks after Donald Trump posted an AI-generated photo of himself, seemingly depicted as Jesus. Once again, the show’s April 15 episode, titled “Every One of You Sons of B*****,” showcased Homelander in a similar imagery, which ultimately led him to believe that he was god himself.
To be clear, the showrunners had completed filming the scenes months before they aired this year. So, rather than the show imitating the real-life events, it has, coincidentally, become the opposite.
