The US president recently made a bold remark while reflecting on the stock market condition amid the Iran war. He claimed that he would take a bullet for America. These comments come as he clarified that he is okay with seeing a drop in the stock market if it means stopping Iran from having a nuclear weapon.

The 79-year-old, moreover, discussed the conflict and how it’s affecting the Americans, as they have begun to face financial problems due to the rise in prices. He added, “Take a bullet—it’s a terrible expression, especially when it is used by me, but I am.”

Sharing on what it could mean for Iran to have a nuclear weapon, he added, “They can’t have a nuclear weapon. They would use it within an hour of getting it.” After that, he also referred to Iranian officials as “lunatics” (via The Mirror).

During the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, gunshots were fired near the main security, leading to the evacuation of prominent figures, including Trump and First Lady Melania. Later, he addressed the tragic incident, claiming that he wasn’t concerned about what happened. He said to the CBS News program 60 Minutes, “I wasn’t worried. I understand life. We live in a crazy world” (via BBC).

He also took to Truth Social to share his thoughts on the incident and praised the agents for protecting the attendees from getting harmed during the shooting. “Quite an evening in D.C. Secret Service and Law Enforcement did a fantastic job. They acted quickly and bravely. The shooter has been apprehended, and I have recommended that we ‘LET THE SHOW GO ON’ but, will entirely be guided by Law Enforcement. They will make a decision shortly.”
