Pete Davidson Destroys Kanye West With ‘Beef’ Joke at Kevin Hart Roast

The Kia Forum in Los Angeles closed out Netflix Is a Joke Fest Sunday night with The Greatest Roast of All Time: Kevin Hart. Hosted by Shane Gillis, with no topic off-limits, the night delivered unfiltered comedy. One standout came from Pete Davidson, who drew huge reactions with a sharp “beef” joke aimed at Kanye West.

Pete Davidson addressed his feud with Kanye West head-on during The Roast of Kevin Hart with a pointed “beef” joke. During the Netflix roast, Davidson took a moment to jokingly call the artist a “gay Nazi.”

While roasting fellow comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, Davidson, who appeared as a claymation figure in Ye and The Game’s 2022 video “Eazy” during his relationship with Kim Kardashian, mentioned the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk before pivoting to his Ye joke.

“Tony Hinchcliffe is here, looking like both a child molester and the doll they give the child to show where he touched them,” Davidson quipped during the live event on May 10. “Tony reminds me of Charlie Kirk, in that he’s definitely been on camera letting a guy unload in his throat.”

Seconds later, the SNL alum nodded to his previously well-publicized feud with Ye.

“Tony, nothing you say tonight will hurt my feelings,” the 32-year-old said. “I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis.”

Davidson was pointing to Ye’s 2025 song, Cousins, later pulled from streaming platforms, along with Ye’s long string of statements promoting Nazism and the controversies tied to them. Those events culminated in Ye publishing a full-page Wall Street Journal ad earlier this year, where he discussed his bipolar disorder and said he wanted to “earn” forgiveness for his past behavior.

“One of the difficult aspects of having bipolar type-1 are the disconnected moments—many of which I still cannot recall—that lead to poor judgment and reckless behavior that oftentimes feels like an out-of-body experience,” the apology read.

The statement expressed regret for past actions, committed to accountability and change. The rapper also denied being a Nazi or antisemite and affirmed love for Jewish people.
