Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly on a self-imposed “house arrest” following a recent break-in at his home.
To recap, the disgraced royal was allegedly threatened by a masked intruder at his Norfolk home on May 6. Andrew was walking his dogs on the Sandringham Estate when a man wearing a ski mask jumped and shouted at him.
A security detail was present and moved Andrew away from the scene unharmed, while the intruder was later arrested.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was “unscathed” after the reported attack

As he has done for much of this year, Andrew has kept a low-profile since the incident at his home, which insiders say has left him on edge. To that end, the former prince has been encouraged to stay under a self-imposed “house arrest.”
Speaking to Fox News this week, royal expert Helena Chard said Andrew is “shaken and worried for his safety.” The incident has also prompted him to re-evaluate his security at the property. In fact, the royal commentator suggested Andrew wants the same level of protection he had been entitled to previously.
“The king is understood to be funding Andrew’s ‘exile’ at Marsh Farm, including former royal protection cops,” she said. However, the expert noted that they “are not armed.”
But not everyone agrees that Andrew should receive stronger protection. “Instead of wanting more security, he should really stay in sort of a house arrest, just keep to himself, and not even go out,” said royal commentator Hilary Fordwich, also on Fox News.
“Then he wouldn’t have to face the public or have these worries,” she went on. “That would be the decent thing to do, but he’s not renowned for doing decent things.”
