Former FBI Director Says Donald Trump ‘Doesn’t Seem Okay’ to Him

Former FBI Director James Comey has questioned President Donald Trump’s mental fitness, especially singling out the President’s multiple late-night posts on Truth Social. Comey argued that both the President and the Department of Justice are operating chaotically with a disregard for the law.

Prior to this, Comey was indicted for an Instagram post of a seashell arrangement that the Trump administration alleged was a threat to the President’s life.

Former FBI director James Comey, who was indicted last month by a federal grand jury for allegedly threatening the President with a post featuring an arrangement of seashells on Instagram, has questioned President Donald Trump’s mental competency.

“He doesn’t seem okay to me,” Comey said on CNN Tuesday (via The Independent), “There was always something wrong with the man in that he lacks a moral center, but this seems off. This middle of the night obsessive truth after truth…retruthing and retruthing on his platform, seems crazy to me.”

Comey was fired by Trump as FBI chief in 2017. The controversial Kash Patel holds the role at the moment.

When asked if Trump had changed since Comey served under him, the former director said, “Yeah, he seems different in a bad way. Not different in you redid your hair, different in that you seem nuts buddy.”

Comey pointed out at Trump’s recent posts, where the President called for Barack Obama’s arrest while branding him a traitor.

“Calling for the incarceration of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, it doesn’t get more vindictive and political than that,” Comey continued, “I would hope the Department of Justice would resist that, but they don’t have a great track record so far.”

Comey further warned that current and former officials should be prepared for potential legal targeting by the administration. “I would expect there will be more efforts to get the president’s enemies because he’s obsessed with it, and that’s really really sad,”

Donald Trump’s second term remains controversial and a source of much scrutiny.
