Survivor 50’s Rick Devens Predicts ‘Drama’ at Live Reunion

Rick Devens saw his Survivor 50 dream come to an end in the Wednesday, May 13 episode. The Edge of Extinction star successfully evaded elimination multiple times this season, but his luck finally ran out in Episode 12, crushing his chance at the $2 million prize.

Rick was a bit of a polarizing figure on Survivor 50. Fans loved him, but he made a few adversaries on the island. In a recent interview, Rick said he predicts there will be “drama” at the reunion, revealing there is one castaway that he is not looking forward to seeing.

Here’s the scoop.

Devens is hoping to avoid Jenna Lewis-Dougherty at the reunion

In his exit interview with Page Six, Rick predicted there will be tension at the Survivor 50 reunion.

“I do think there’s going to be drama. You know, with the exit press, there’s been a lot of back and forth,” he shared.

He called out one castaway in particular for their exit interview statements, telling the outlet, “The only person I don’t really want to see is Jenna [Lewis-Dougherty] … She trolled me the whole season. It just blows my mind.”

Jenna claimed on social media that Rick and his ally, Christian Hubicki, were bragging about getting a lot of screen time on the Cila tribe. Rick took issue with Jenna’s comment, telling Page Six that she took his words out of context.

“When we lost the first challenge, I’m like, ‘Hey, good news, guys. We’re going to get the airtime because we’re the tribe that loses,’” he explained. “That’s a joke, but it’s an obvious joke if I say it in front of the whole tribe.”

He added, “In her exit press she’s name-calling and bashing us, and then she just kept doing it all season. That’s not the way I play the game. So I was just over it.”

Jenna did call out players for “pre-gaming” in her exit interviews. She claimed that the Survivor 50 castaways were playing the game long before they stepped foot on the island.

“I was worried about being late the party, and the other people were going, ‘She’s invited to the party?’” she told Page Six in February. “They had all these connections … I do know for a fact all of them were chatting [before the show].”

Survivor 50 concludes on CBS, Wednesday at 8/7c. It is available to stream on Paramount+.
