Mike Tyson claims he caught Brad Pitt with his ex-wife
Opening up about the wild moment on This Past Weekend, Mike Tyson explained that everything happened while he and Robin Givens were going through their messy split in the late 1980s. Tyson said their relationship was falling apart in public, but they still continued seeing each other privately while handling the divorce.
According to Tyson, he went to Givens’ house one day expecting to meet her, but later noticed her pulling up in the BMW he had bought for her. At first, he thought one of her friends from Head of the Class was sitting in the passenger seat. Then he realized it was Brad Pitt. “He wasn’t Brad Pitt yet. I didn’t know who the f— he was,” Tyson recalled during the interview. He added with a laugh, “He didn’t even have a car.”
At the time, Pitt was still at the beginning of his acting career. His early film Cutting Class had only recently been released, while Tyson was already one of the biggest names in sports with a 37-0 boxing record.
Over the years, several versions of the story have circulated publicly. Givens has acknowledged that Pitt was in the car when Tyson arrived, but she denied rumors claiming Tyson caught them together in bed. She also pushed back on earlier claims that Pitt begged Tyson not to hit him (via FOX News).
Today, Tyson says his life is far more stable. The former heavyweight champion has been married to his wife, Lakiha Spicer, since 2009. During the same interview, Tyson spoke warmly about his marriage, saying, “The biggest gift God could ever give us is a woman.”
