Meghan Markle has reportedly been seeking “publicity” despite giving an “iconic” speech in Geneva, Switzerland. On Sunday, May 17, the Duchess of Sussex tried to bring awareness about the harmful effects of social media on young individuals through her speech at an event presenting the Lost Screen Memorial. However, a royal expert has now claimed that the Duchess of Sussex wants to control “publicity” despite her campaign against “online abuse.”
Expert claims Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are ‘tireless in self-promotion’
Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, have reportedly been “tireless in self-promotion.” The news came after the Duchess of Sussex’s “iconic” speech on the negative impact of social media on young people at the Lost Screen Memorial event in Geneva, Switzerland. As reported by GB News, the Duchess of Sussex talked about platforms “designed to capture attention at any cost” moulding young individuals. She also discussed the impact of these platforms with “relentless algorithms, exploitative engagement, and endless exposure to harmful content that they are not seeking out.”
In the meantime, per the news outlet, Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal expert, told them that “The Sussexes have campaigned against online abuse for years.” The expert continued, “And it is an extremely serious problem.” The person also explained, “When on tour in Australia, Meghan complained she was the most trolled person in the world.”
However, after that, Richard Fitzwilliams said to the news outlet, “They certainly seek publicity, and they want to control it.” The royal expert further claimed, “The Sussexes are tireless in self-promotion.” The expert continued, “Their habit of photographing their children from the back so their faces are usually not revealed is very curious.” The royal expert then explained, “That is obviously up to them, but it is odd.” Per the news outlet, Richard Fitzwilliams also said, “However, there are those who believe this is a build-up to when they do show their faces and come over to the UK in July.” “If Harry gets the automatic security he expects,” also added the royal expert.
