Jon Stewart Makes Fun of Donald Trump’s Handshake Style

Jon Stewart mocked that Donald Trump‘s handshake style is what students will need to secure their desired job. These comments came as Stewart gave a message to the graduating class of 2026 during The Daily Show. He also took a subtle jab at the president’s bruised hands and his self-adulatory remarks.

Jon Stewart playfully advised students to learn from Donald Trump‘s handshake style when he meets prominent leaders if they want to land their dream job. Showcasing the image of Trump’s scarred hands, he said, “And if you come out of that interview with a hand that looks any less grotesque than this one, you did it wrong. Don’t look away! Look at it! That is a hand that won the interview.”

He joked that there should be classes where they teach people how to do a Trump-like handshake, further saying that maybe they should enroll in the president’s university. He then quickly debunked that it can’t happen because “it was a fraud and got shut down, but metaphorically.” He then asks the students to pay close attention, as he wants to walk them through how to ace an interview in the president’s way.

He elaborated, “Let’s start at the very beginning, young grad, you walk into the room, and what have we always told you to do? Eye contact, firm handshake, settle in. But that’s what losers do. What you want to do is set the terms of the battle in the interview. I will take your f***ing hand! Give me your f***ing hand! Give it to me! I want your hand! Give me your f***ing hand!” He revealed that this should give the employer an idea of who’s in charge now.

Steward then explained what to answer when an interviewer asks why they are fit for the role. He tells them to give bizarre remarks about themselves, similar to Trump, who has previously described himself as “a smart person” with a “very fertile brain.” He concludes, “Make your answer cocky and super f***ing weird.”
