We’ve got a cast shakeup on our hands. Netflix just reportedly took a wrecking ball to the Selling Sunset cast, firing four of its glamorous real estate agents ahead of Season 10, including an OG cast member.
The news comes as they prepare to reintroduce Christine Quinn and Heather Rae El Moussa back into the fold. Apparently, there are only so many open seats at the Oppenheim Group.
A new report suggests Mary Bonnet is out
Rumors have been swirling about the Selling Sunset cast for weeks, and Netflix confirmed earlier this month that Christine and Heather would be returning. What they didn’t mention was that four cast members were allegedly let go in the process.
According to TMZ, OG cast member Mary Bonnet has been fired from the show, along with Emma Hernan, Chelsea Lazkani, and Sandra Vergara. Sources close to the situation told TMZ that these ladies found out back in April that their contracts were ending. They join Chrishell Stause, who previously announced her exit from the series shortly after Season 9 wrapped.
The insider said that Bre Tiesi and Amanza Smith were spared in this mass firing. You should expect to see them back in the Oppenheim Group offices with Christine and Heather when Season 10 returns.
Chelsea, Emma, Sandra, and Mary aren’t the only people from the Selling Sunset universe who are facing joblessness right now. Selling the OC has reportedly been paused by Netflix to prioritize this new era of Selling Sunset. The New York-based spinoff, Selling the City, was canceled after just one season.
There’s no word yet on when Selling Sunset Season 10 will launch on Netflix, but in the meantime, Jason Oppenheim teased that he’s more excited about this season than any before. He’s thrilled about the returning OGs, even though he’s losing one in the process.
“Everyone loves Heather, and Christine was great for the show,” Jason teased. “She was one of the salient reasons that the show did so well and blew up, and she deserves a lot of credit for that.”
