According to production insiders, the Bravo bosses were so furious over the leaked audio that they’ve introduced some serious security protocols to prevent future leaks. Apparently, the reunion sets now feel less like a TV production and more like a military base — all because of that one bad apple.

Insiders close to Bravo spoke to Radar Online and revealed how Bravo launched a “full-scale security crackdown” for reunion tapings. They’re going above and beyond to make sure that they don’t have a repeat of the Summer House fiasco.
This week, Andy Cohen sat down with the cast of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island for their Season 1 reunion. It was the first reunion taping since the Summer House leak, so they were likely the first people to get a taste of Bravo’s new TSA-level security.
“Metal detectors, wand scans, pat-downs – Bravo is treating every reunion like a security breach waiting to happen,” a production source claimed.
Although the Summer House reunion leak was attributed to a since-fired production staffer, Bravo isn’t taking any chances with anyone. With the new security protocol, the source said that glam squads, publicists, and even cast members have their phones locked up the moment they arrive on set. They’re incredibly serious about this, with one person comparing the reunion to “Fort Knox.”
“The leak did not come from the couch. It came from behind the scenes. Now Bravo is locking down both,” another insider added.
After the leaked Summer House audio went viral, Bravo launched an investigation to identify the source. However, Andy later revealed that it was a Summer House fan who came forward and outed the leaker. Eventually, we’re supposed to get more details on how that all unfolded. In the meantime, Bravo’s bigwigs want to guarantee it never happens again.
The Summer House Season 10 reunion kicks off next Tuesday at 8/7c on Bravo. An extended, uncensored version will stream the next day on Peacock.
