Elsie Hewitt’s Past Legal Battle With Ex Emerges Amid Pete Davidson ‘Court’ Threat

Amid Elsie Hewitt’s claims to take ex-SNL star Pete Davidson to court over their daughter Scottie Rose’s childcare expenses, attention has resurfaced on Hewitt’s 2017 court case with short-lived partner Ryan Phillippe.

Phillipe, who was married to Reese Witherspoon from 1999 to 2007, vehemently denied the domestic assault allegations made by Hewitt, and ultimately, the case was settled out of court in early 2020.

Ryan Philippe allegedly assaulted Elsie back in 2017 during a brief relationship

As the story goes, Hewitt had filed a massive $1 million domestic violence lawsuit against the Cruel Intentions star, who she claimed had punched, kicked, and thrown her down the stairs following a July 4 argument.

Phillipe firmly denied all accusations from the beginning, saying that he was merely protecting his bedroom from an intoxicated and jealous Hewitt, who had turned up at his house at 2.30 am, after she spotted another woman there.

The legal war stretched out for two years and came to a sudden halt in October 2019, a day before Phillippe’s ex-wife, actress Reese Witherspoon, was to testify. The case was finally settled out of court.

Coming to the current situation, Hewitt had threatened to take Pete Davidson to court over their daughter’s childcare expenses. The couple split just five months after the birth of Scottie Rose, and Hewitt had commented that she is feeling the “full mental load” of single motherhood, and handling finances on her own.

Davidson’s reps have expressed surprise at Hewitt’s decision to move court, saying that Davidson has been providing full financial support for their daughter, going “above and beyond” to cover the costs of the baby, Hewitt’s health insurance, and their entire apartment.

While Hewitt’s past history of court cases may raise eyebrows, it is difficult to tell who is telling the truth in this situation.
