Whether you like it or not, the rebooted Real Housewives of New York is coming soon, and it sounds like Jessel Taank dove into it headfirst.
Jessel is one of only three Housewives returning to the full-time cast in Season 16, but in a new interview, she said that the cast isn’t the only thing that has changed. She’s changed, too.
Jessel Taank says the next RHONY season “feels different”
After a months-long hiatus, Bravo confirmed that RHONY would return with Jessel, Erin Lichy, and Sai De Silva as the only returning cast members. They’ll be joined by three new Housewives. Plus, they somehow convinced Carole Radzwill to come out of reality TV retirement as a part-time cast member.
With all of those cast changes, this season naturally feels different, but Jessel explained to OK! Magazine that she feels different, too. She said she’s grown into her voice and feels way more confident than she did in her first two seasons.
“It’s been such a whirlwind, in the best way,” Jessel teased about the upcoming season. “Coming back feels different this time around because I feel different.”
She continued, “There’s a confidence and a comfort level that comes with having already been through it. I know who I am. I know what I bring to the table. I’m just ready to have fun and be authentic with these women.”
Jessel said that watching herself on TV for the past two seasons has helped her learn about herself, and it sounds like she brought that straight into Season 16.
“I think I’ve grown into my voice. When you put yourself out there on television, you learn so much about how you communicate, how you handle conflict, and what really matters to you,” Jessel explained.
She continued, “I’ve become more secure in who I am as a woman, a mom, a wife, and a friend. The show has truly been a mirror for me in so many ways.”
