Beloved Game Show Host Spews Profanity-Filled Rant Against LA Mayor Hopeful Spencer Pratt

Drew Carey is not keeping his opinions to himself when it comes to Spencer Pratt’s political ambitions. The longtime “Price Is Right” host unloaded on social media this week, blasting the reality TV veteran as he continues his increasingly high-profile campaign for Los Angeles mayor.

The sharp comments arrive as Pratt’s bid gains attention, support from a few celebrity friends, and plenty of criticism from others who aren’t sold on the idea of a reality star running City Hall.

Price is Right host Drew Carey calls Spencer Pratt a “serial scammer” amid his bid for LA mayor

Carey took to Threads with a message that left little room for interpretation. The comedian urged voters not to support Pratt and questioned why anyone would back the former Hills star in the upcoming election.

“Anyone who votes for, or endorses Spencer Pratt for Mayor of LA needs to get their head out of their ass,” Carey wrote. He went on to call Pratt a “serial scammer” and claimed the reality personality lacked both a “soul” and a “moral compass.”

Carey wrapped up the post with a blunt, profanity-filled sign-off that quickly spread across social media.

Not everyone agreed with him. Some users applauded the television host for speaking out, while others pushed back by questioning Los Angeles leadership more broadly and asking who they considered a better alternative.

Carey isn’t the only celebrity expressing concern about Pratt’s political future. Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause recently urged California voters to avoid electing another reality television personality to public office.

“NOT in the government,” she wrote in a Threads post while discussing Pratt’s campaign.

The debate spilt into another celebrity feud when Stause later criticized singer Katharine McPhee, who, along with husband David Foster, hosted a fundraiser supporting Pratt’s mayoral run. McPhee later responded online, saying she was confused by the controversy surrounding the comments.

Meanwhile, Pratt’s campaign appears to be picking up steam despite the backlash. Recent fundraising disclosures reportedly showed his campaign bringing in approximately $2.7 million in less than a month. That figure nearly matched the amount raised by incumbent Mayor Karen Bass during a much longer fundraising period.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK CELEBRITIES SHOULD SPEAK OUT ABOUT POLITICAL CANDIDATES, OR DOES IT HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON VOTERS?
