2026 kicked off with Summer House couple Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula confirming their separation, but since then, there’s been absolutely zero progress towards divorce. Why is that?
The topic came up during the Summer House Season 10 reunion, when Ciara Miller pointed out that Amanda was still “legally” married, despite her highly-publicized romance with West Wilson.
Now, insiders close to the couple are theorizing about why they haven’t pulled the trigger to make their split official.

In Part 1 of the Summer House reunion. Amanda admitted that there hadn’t been any momentum towards divorcing Kyle, months after their public separation.
“I’ve attained counsel, and my attorney has reached out to Kyle,” Amanda said. “But we haven’t gotten anywhere since then.”
According to insiders who spoke with Page Six, there might be a few reasons for that. A big one is that they didn’t sign a prenup before they had their on-screen wedding back in Summer House Season 6. Allegedly, they’re still trying to sort out their financial situation before filing.
Although the two don’t share any kids, there’s a real possibility that they could wind up fighting over Loverboy, which went from being on the brink of collapse to seeing a major boom in the aftermath of the Amanda/West saga.
Insiders also said that Kyle is trying to let Amanda file first because he doesn’t want to be the villain in the situation. Meanwhile, Amanda and West are vacationing in Europe and living their best lives.
Of course, there’s also plenty of story for them to tell in their Summer House spinoff show, In The City. Although we know their marriage has fallen apart, they’re circling the drain during Season 1 of their new spinoff show. Perhaps they want to let it all air out before they make things official legally? Either way, it’s the end of an era, even if it doesn’t seem that way on paper.
