Welcome to the recap for Summer House Season 10, Episode 17, the reunion! All season long we’ve watched the demise of Kyle and Amanda’s relationship, which concluded with the two going their separate ways. However, at the same time the show was airing, news of Scamanda broke. Were Amanda and West really dating this entire time? Hopefully we are about to get that mystery solved and more during this epic three-part reunion. But for now, here’s exactly what went down in Summer House Season 10, Episode 17: “Reunion Part 1.”
What happened in Summer House Season 10, Episode 17?
The first part of the reunion was all about the receipts, proof, timeline, screenshots! Amanda and West claimed they were not together before the end of February. But no one believed them. Ciara also had texts from Amanda denying anything was going on in March, and that’s when Amanda admitted she lied. It wasn’t all about Scamanda, though. Bailey went off on Ben for reprimanding women and said he had a secret girlfriend the whole summer. Mia was now single, and KJ shared something very serious that had happened to him that left him grateful to be alive.
The calm before the storm
It was March 31, 2026, with Lindsay and Kyle filming confessionals for In The City when the bomb dropped. Amanda and West issued a joint statement officially confirming their relationship. Immediately, Lindsay’s and Kyle’s phones go off with the cast calling to check in one by one. Jesse stated, “Dude, this is f*cking nuts.”
Kyle shared Amanda gave him a heads-up the night before, while West gave him a “check the box text” about an hour ago. He noted that Carl had picked up on how “handsy” West was with Amanda for awhile now. Carl said, “You don’t touch women that are married like that.” Jesse chimed in, “Yeah, but you also don’t f*ck your friend’s wife of ten years.”
Ciara was not a part of the group conversation, but Mia confirmed she had been checking in on her. Carl sighed. He couldn’t get over “the lies and the deceit.” That’s when Lindsay put her detective hat on. She asked, “Now it’s, like, when did this start?”
Kyle said Amanda claimed it had only been for the past month. Mia quipped, “Bullsh*t.” However, he added that the blinds about West and Amanda went all the way back to June 2025. So, what was true?
Cut to April 23, 2026: reunion taping day. Everyone arrived tense, except for Amanda and West, who seemed to be hunky-dory about it all. West gave Amanda a kiss and told her, “I feel zen.”
Meanwhile, Andy Cohen checked in on Ciara. She said, “I’m shocked by West, but I’m also really hurt by Amanda.” Then she went and apologized to Kyle for misunderstanding him this summer. After a big hug, it was game time. As everyone took their seats, Jesse observed, “The calm before the storm.”
West’s nudes dropped on the internet
It was surprisingly jovial on the stage. That was until Amanda arrived and the mood completely shifted. Lindsay smiled at her through gritted teeth and said, “I like the butter yellow.” And that compliment on her dress was probably the last nice thing Lindsay would say to Amanda during the reunion.
Before Andy started, another revelation came to light. Someone had hacked West’s phone, and nudes of him had surfaced. Jesse confirmed he saw them. The two laughed over it almost like nothing had changed. But that bestie vibe was short-lived.
During introductions, Amanda admitted she was ready to apologize to Ciara and Kyle. Ciara ripped her a new one and said, “I’m glad you can say our name this time.” Yet, Amanda played dumb about leaving out their names in their statement.
Andy then got right down to it. He asked Ciara when she first suspected something was going on between West and Amanda. She stated it was January 17, 2026. Ciara explained that Amanda was at West’s and was not responding to her texts to hang out.
However, Amanda did respond when Mia sent a group text. Ciara thought the situation was sus. Amanda then jumped in that West was there for her all summer. Ciara quipped, “And where was I?”
When Ciara accused Amanda of ghosting her, Amanda claimed she was busy with other friends. Everyone scoffed that she didn’t have any friends besides West’s. Amanda was able to name one person, and Ciara said, “Friends with West?” Amanda retorted, “Not friends with West. F*ck off.”
Ciara responded, “Shut the f*ck up Amanda. You don’t want to cross this f*cking bridge with me.” Time to grab the popcorn!
Mia accused Amanda of being “one of West’s side b*tches”
Jesse then got thrown in the mix for being accused of knowing about Scamanda the whole time. But West cleared his name. West stated, “I one hundred percent lied to people here, and I take full accountability for that.” This led to Ciara saying West was, “the most fraudulent person sitting on this couch.”
Ciara added, “Probably the reason why it was so confusing was because you had a girlfriend.” The plot thickens! West denied being exclusive, but Lindsay said the girl had spent the night with West before his Watch What Happens Live appearance.
Mia asked, “Amanda, why are you doing this? … You went from being married to being one of West’s side b*tches?”
Amanda then claimed she couldn’t help who she liked. And Ciara didn’t buy that sob story one bit. Ciara said, “And you did it on purpose cause you’re a f*cking snake, Amanda … You move silent, but you’re f*cking deadly.”
It was then time for some receipts when Amanda said she did apologize via text to Ciara. Ciara shared that on March 5, 2026, Amanda texted she and West were “just friends.” Amanda said, “And I lied.” They were sticking with the end of February as their start date, and March was their first kiss.
An exasperated Amanda wondered if no one else had been in similar situation before. This got a resounding “no” from the group. Amanda said, “You guys are acting like I had an affair.” But she received sympathy from no one, including West, who sat silently beside her.
Andy wondered what Ciara’s intentions were coming into the reunion. She said, “After that, I don’t know. I mean, I guess we might as well discuss the details before I put them in the ground and cover them with dirt.”
Bailey popped off on Ben
Levi then entered the chat as Andy segued into some more lighthearted moments that happened during the season. They had some epic parties and killer costumes, and played some hilarious pranks too.
But things got serious when Mia discussed the loss of her parents. Thankfully, she had Ciara by her side, and Mia was grateful to have someone she could count on. She also shared she was newly single after breaking things off with Scott. This will make for an interesting development next season.
Another interesting development was Bailey and Ben. The two had literally kissed and made up after Ben had an outburst when she accused him of wanting to hook up with Amanda. However, Bailey wasn’t really over it after all.
She went off on him for his treatment of women, including his girlfriend, Sabrina. Bailey said, “I watched you talking to her, and I was like, ‘Why does this guy only pop off on women?’” She stated that he never talked to Kyle that way no matter how wrong he was. Bailey added, “You only reprimand women.”
When Ben explained he treated Amanda like one of the guys, Bailey was over it. She said, “I also think the reason he got so mad was because he was dating Sabrina the whole time.”
Andy asked who thought Ben had a “secret girlfriend” during the summer. And most of the cast was Team Ben because only West and Levi raised their hands.
The topic of Bailey and Carl flirting came up. But Carl wasn’t ready for anything more than friendship. His focus right now was Soft Bar. Still, he wasn’t ruling anything out with Bailey in the future.
KJ shared a tragic event that happened to him
KJ then shared a shocking update: he had gone to the hospital for self-harm. However, Mia and Ciara were by his side the whole time. He was now in therapy and on medication for his BDP. KJ said, “I’m grateful that I’m here, alive. Because I could have not been.”
Ciara then got kudos from the group for her journey buying and renovating her grandparents’ home in North Carolina. When Andy asked West to share how he felt, he stumbled over his words.
The topic of Ciara letting her guard down to West came up. And her walls fully came down when they made out their last night at the house.
Kyle then accused West of breadcrumbing and always knowing what to say. Ciara agreed and thought West just used her for a storyline. West said he did not allude to wanting to date her, but his actions said otherwise.
Lindsay noted West’s excuses were “so good.” She thought he did what’s needed to climb the ladder and “clout chase.” And once he got what he needed from Amanda, he’d be done with her too.
Ciara reasoned they might actually work out because Amanda would be the “weak figure” so he could be the star. When Kyle told Ciara that was harsh, Ciara replied, “That’s your wife. She’s not my wife.” To be continued…
