They’ve gone through plenty of ups and downs, but their chaotic relationship has been on its last legs this year. The beginning of the end happened just a few days before Taylor Frankie Paul was to make her Bachelorette debut.
A troubling leaked video showed a domestic incident that involved her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
After this, a legal investigation and child custody battle ensued. The latest update is that they both have three-year restraining orders against each other. With this in mind, will they be on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives? A producer just weighed in.
What the producer said about Taylor and Dakota’s Season 5 future
SLOMW director Jeff Jenkins recently addressed whether or not Taylor is coming back to the show. And, if the network listened to him, she would be filming Season 5 asap.
“She’s really built for this type of lane. So I’m very hopeful that she’ll be back very soon, and I’m hopeful we can do all sorts of other projects with her as well,” he told Variety.
The reality TV director did admit that even if she returned to the show, it will be challenging when you add Dakota to the equation.
“If you watched the live feed from the judge’s courtroom, both Dakota and Taylor have stay away orders now that are official, so fortunately or unfortunately, whatever your perspective, we won’t be able to shoot with them together, ever again, or at least for a very long time.”
Well, Season 5 production has resumed, so the network is going to have to make a decision. After all, Dakota has become a big part of the current storylines. Will they bring back one or both? Only time will tell.
