Donald Trump’s support appears to be dropping like flies. Reports suggest that even the most avid supporters of his Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement are beginning to doubt the President. The real estate mogul is under fire for the economic and political fallout that the US has been suffering through because of the Iran crisis.
The war launched by the POTUS, along with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has left the global oil market reeling. “There is real concern inside Republican circles about political backlash,” according to a White House source.
President Donald Trump allegedly thought “this war would be swift and decisive”

Conflicts are rarely resolved exactly as you might have hoped. That’s a hard truth the President is discovering, according to sources about the Iran war. A White House source tells RadarOnline that President Trump “believed this war would be swift and decisive.” That has not been the case with the source, adding that voters are “seeing higher fuel bills and economic pain with no clear end in sight.”
Despite all the criticism he’s received over the war, the President maintains that the action was necessary. He says the Iranian regime posed a “dire threat to every American.” His administration has backed up his claims on that front. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Israel’s determination to attack Iran left Washington with no alternative but to follow suit.
Legal experts, along with bipartisan lawmakers, have challenged the claims that going to war with Iran was necessary. They say the Trump administration didn’t establish any lawful grounds for war via constitutional powers or international law.
A Republican strategist close to many of the President’s closest allies believes support for him is dwindling. Those supporters were promised lower prices while the country would not be involved in so many future wars. Gas prices are among those on the rise while the war does not appear to have an end in sight for now. In March, the President hinted at a plan to invade Iran.
