There’s a fresh batch of Islanders set to hit Fiji next month. Love Island USA revealed its 12 new contestants just ahead of the Season 8 premiere. Heading to the Villa this summer will be one person with ties to a former Islander, along with the daughter of an ex-professional basketball player.
The other singles include a Paralympian, along with some influencers, and models. We’ll soon know who will be paired up with who, with the quest for $100,000 just around the corner.
Who’s headed to the villa in Fiji for Love Island USA Season 8?
As with every season of the show, there is plenty of eye candy on both the male and female sides of things.
Among the noteworthy Islanders will be Aniya Harvey, the daughter of former NBA player Donnell Harvey. Paralympic bronze medalist Beatriz Hatz is also on the cast, along with model Zach Georgiou.
You might be more familiar with Zach’s brother Charlie, who competed on the show last season. He got dumped on Day 11, while also leaving on Day 3 of Love Island Games.
Zach won’t be the only model in the mood for love, friendship, or $100,000, or all the above. Gabriel Vasconcelos and DJ Bryce Dettloff are also models who will be in the Villa this summer. Ariana Madix will return as host of the show, and Iain Stirling will come back as the narrator.
While there is plenty of hype surrounding this year’s show, it also comes with a warning to audiences. A statement on X reads “This is a space for fun, not negativity- so keep it kind, keep it positive, and remember: this is Love Island!” The show has already been teased to be loaded with drama and twists, among other things.
As successful as the show has been in terms of ratings in recent seasons, it’s also gotten some controversy. Season 7 Islander Nic Vansteenberghe has gotten his share of criticism for allegedly uttering a racial slur in a video. He said this month that he’s moved on from all those allegations. Season 8 of Love Island USA premieres on June 2.
