Zoo Curator loses job after comparing albino buffalo to Donald Trump for this reason

A zoo curator was sacked after a 1,500-pound albino buffalo went viral and was named after Trump in a national zoo in Bangladesh. What particularly made the animal famous was its slick golden locks, which resembled the president’s hairstyle. The place where it was kept saw a massive crowd as the animal went viral online.

The buffalo was initially meant to be sacrificed on the occasion of the festival of Bakri Eid. However, it wasn’t, and instead was shifted into the national zoo upon the order of the Bangladesh government. At the time, the reason behind the animal’s relocation was cited as “due to security concerns and the unusual level of public interest.” Local media reported that the buffalo’s name sign was initially after the US president, but was later removed. Nevertheless, the zoo curator lost his job following the renaming, with the officials not disclosing the reason why.

The uncanny resemblance and the name were met with mixed reactions. One visitor believed it was “disrespectful” to name a buffalo after the president and that the farmer hadn’t made the right decision. Meanwhile, another claimed that the animal and Trump shared similarities in their eyes, hairstyle, and skin color. Since it went viral, they believe that, much like the president, the buffalo also appears to enjoy all the attention and special treatment (via The Daily Beast).
