A source claimed, “They are both in a place financially where they could afford to throw their dream party.” The insider added that they brought guests “there first class,” before saying, “It cost them a fortune, but they say it was worth every penny.”
Meanwhile, the wedding weekend reportedly continued at Villa Valguarnera on June 6. Star cited Vanity Fair while reporting that the couple exchanged vows before guests, including Donatella Versace, Joe Alwyn, Charli XCX, and Mark Ronson. The outlet also said Elton John performed “Your Song” on piano. After that, the reception moved inside the 18th-century mansion, with food by Michelin-starred chef Tony Lo Coco. Martin Garrix and David Guetta reportedly handled DJ duties.
However, the Palermo celebration also drew complaints from some residents. As per the Daily Mail’s report, posters appeared near Piazza Croce dei Vesperi saying, “Palermo is not for rent.” Another read, “Public spaces belong to everyone.” The outlet reported police, barriers, black screens, and venue closures before the event. Still, Star’s source said the couple “did everything by the book and were very respectful.” The insider added that they had “a lot of great interactions with locals.” By the end, the source said the newlyweds “really did have the most incredible time.”
