Anderson Cooper loses it over a claim surrounding Donald Trump’s T1 phone
Anderson Cooper temporarily lost his composure over a claim surrounding Donald Trump’s T1 phone. Cooper shared the brief snippet on X, explaining that the gold and silver coins, priced as high as $11,999.99, are referred to as Trump coins. They are known as “the official gold and silver of UFC 250.”
The coins are being sold to commemorate the cage fight event scheduled for June 14. For those unversed, President Trump ordered the construction of the Octagon on the South Lawn of the White House for the upcoming UFC event. Notably, June 14 happens to be the President’s 80th birthday, and this year marks America’s 250th anniversary (via HuffPost).
Cooper revealed that the Trump coins are “all designed by President Trump himself, which is amazing, where does he find the time?” The 59-year-old host also shared that the other Trump-branded products include the Bible, sneakers, and the $499 gold-plated Trump phone, which is now finally shipping after long delays.
Continuing further, Cooper explained that the phones were originally marketed as “Made in the USA.” However, now it is promoted as “designed with American values in mind.”
It was at this moment that he chuckled and let out a brief sigh. He apologized and continued: “We should just pause and reflect on that claim for a moment: ‘Designed with American values in mind.’ I don’t know what that means. Someone was thinking about America when they signed the contract to hawk these? Experts say they closely resemble a phone made in China. However, American values were considered when they were designed. Rest easy.”
