Eric Trump Denies Daniel Cormier DMs, Calls Screenshots ‘AI Generated’

Former MMA professional Daniel Cormier and Donald Trump’s second son, Eric Trump, have both denied sharing messages with each other amid their leaked DMs row. The two have shared multiple public statements in a bid to prove that they did not exchange messages about the UFC Freedom 250 event, calling the screenshots “AI-generated.”

Eric Trump and Daniel Cormier deny the viral UFC exchange

Eric Trump has unequivocally denied contacting Daniel Cormier to get insights regarding the results of fights that took place at the UFC Freedom 250 event.

The controversy started when Cormier, on his X (formerly Twitter) account, posted leaked DMs of his supposed conversation with Eric Trump. In the now-deleted post, the UFC color commentator noted, “I’m probably going to get a lot of flak for bringing this to light, however I refuse to stay silent. Shame on anyone trying to ruin this beautiful event” (via BBC News).

The screenshots he attached to the post included several messages from an account that appeared to belong to Donald Trump’s son, Eric, one of which read, “I’ll just cut to the chase…are any of the fights tomorrow rigged? I’ve been eyeing the Lopes fight and I think an upset wouldn’t be too unrealistic.”

Since then, both involved parties have come out to invalidate the authenticity of these screenshots. Reflecting on his supposedly leaked DMs, Eric Trump noted, “This is completely fake! I have never reached out to Daniel. In fact, this is scary.” In another update, he wrote, “This did not happen. They were AI generated. Please be careful with reporting.”

Similarly, Cormier also reposted the screenshots along with the caption, “Are people really this dumb?” He also refuted the claims about conspiring with Eric Trump in an interview, stating, “Not real, I can’t believe you guys believed that. Like, who believes that? I got hacked or something. Who believes something like that. That’s crazy.” When asked if he was the one who shared the screenshots, Cormier replied, “Why would I do that?”
